Open Source Millionaires
A very good article on Marc Fleury, CEO JBoss. It always a mystery to many as in how to build a company which is giving out its product for free. :) Marc has build a giant and at one point of time Oracle was paying as much as $500 million for JBoss. Though that deal dint see the light of the day but Marc is taking his company public now.Open source has always been an enigma for me also. It took sometime for me also to understand how one can build a business around a free product. I had a great opportunity to hear Ray Lane who is still very bullish on Open Source.
So watch this space and it will see more of activity in future.

Just after the original post.. RedHat has aquired JBoss for $350m.
Red Hat will work better for him as RH understands open software. Fleury was having differences with Oracle over it.

Hi Rajat,
I believe there are various ways to make money form the open source world in a constructive manner. I talked a bit about this in my presentation in BarCamp Hyd. Maybe I will write a post.
